In 2024, Petr Kočárek wrote me, that they got Haplodiplatys sp. from Saudi Arabia (southern of Medina, southern of At Taif, Tihama).
He wrote:

If it's a new endemic species, as relict of more humid and warm prehistoric ages, or an introduced known species, will stay a mystery for now.
