In 2023, an observation of a non-american Forficula species was made on iNaturalist in New York, USA.

I asked Danilo Matzke for identification help and he supposed Forficula ruiliensis Zhou & Sakai, 1996.

The location is Regalis Foods, an import export company, who also sells Morels from Sichuan. The species is supposed to be introduced from Yunnan or the Himalaya or neighbouring regions.

However, simbason believed the species to be Forficula bhutanensis, according to infos from Fauna Sinica.
