Fits well by antennal structure with this genus (body similar to Metisolabis BURR species, but differing in the globular, antennal joints. Third joint twice longer as wide, fourth joint about as long as wide. Eyes large, elliptical situated near posterior angles of head). But antennae with 14 segments (C. nigra and C. mahunkai have 13 segments, C. montana 12 segments) and surprisingly rudimentary tegmina is present (which is absent amost in all Brachylabidinae except Metisolabis milloti from Madagascar with lateral flaps present).
