This specimen fit to no known Cosmogerax species. By the key in Steinmann (1990) I got to C. doesburgi, but the antennae, coloration and abdomen don't match - if it's a female, the pygidium and forceps would also look different. C. doesburgi is known for Suriname, so quite far away. The only species known for a neighbouring country is C. formica from Brazil. The coloration fits to the description, but the shape of the forceps and pygidium don't. So it's probably an undescribed species.
